1. Discovery & Brief
We begin with a collaborative meeting to understand your lifestyle, design preferences and priorities. We create a mood-board capturing your aesthetic, compile key requirements and conduct a detailed site assessment: including zoning/planning constraints, orientation, existing conditions and context. This phase lays the foundation for a truly tailored design.
2. Concept Design
Next, we translate your brief and site insights into multiple design concepts. Through sketches, floor-plans and 3D visuals we explore spatial layouts, light-quality, material ideas and passive design opportunities. This is where vision meets architecture — you select the direction that reflects your hopes for your home.
3. Design Development
With a preferred concept selected, we deepen the detail. We finalise layouts, refine form and elements, select materials (with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability) and coordinate with specialist consultants. At this stage we also prepare indicative costings and early performance assessments so you can make informed decisions.
4. Approvals & Compliance
We prepare the required documentation for building approvals — such as site plans, elevations, sections, energy compliance reports and consultant inputs — and submit to the relevant authority on your behalf. This ensures your project meets all statutory requirements and sets you up for a smooth build phase.
5. Construction Documentation
Once approvals are secured, we produce the comprehensive drawings and specifications that define construction in full detail — including structure, finishes, fixtures, services and sustainability systems. We liaise with certifiers and ensure compliance with the applicable Australian Standards and National Construction Code.
6. Construction Administration & Handover
During construction we act as your advocate — assisting with builder selection, reviewing tender documentation, monitoring progress, managing site coordination and quality control. At hand-over we ensure the finished home aligns with our design intent, and that all systems operate as intended for your comfort, wellbeing and future-proof performance.
