Set on a sloping site in Warners Bay, this renovation reimagines a fragmented kitchen, dining area and enclosed sunroom as a warm, connected heart of the home.
The client brief called for a complete kitchen renewal, improved storage and a stronger relationship with the elevated rear deck.
In response, the former sunroom becomes a dedicated pantry, while a generous pass-through opens the interior to light, greenery and outdoor entertaining.
Dark timber, stone, matte-black metal and subtle gold accents are softened by warm, layered lighting, creating a calm, sophisticated home where cooking, gathering and everyday movement feel effortless.

The existing kitchen and adjoining spaces felt fragmented and underutilized.
The brief was to completely strip out and replace the kitchen, rethink the former dining and sunroom areas, and create a more generous and efficient arrangement for everyday living.
The former sunroom was repurposed as a dedicated pantry connected directly to the new kitchen, while the rear wall was opened to create a pass-through to the elevated deck.
The material direction was intentionally darker and more sophisticated, centred around rich timber tones and a restrained interior palette.

FLOW: Bringing together the previously fragmented kitchen, dining, and sunroom spaces.
STORAGE: Repurposing the former sunroom as a dedicated pantry, directly connected to the kitchen.
CONNECTION: Opening the rear elevation to strengthen the relationship between the kitchen and the elevated outdoor deck.
